Girls’ Generation Perform on MBC’s ‘Korean Music Wave in Google’

On May 21st, Girls’ Generation appeared at Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View, California to perform alongside other artists such as TVXQ, Super Junior, Wonder Girls, KARA, MBLAQ, SISTAR, and f(x) on MBC’s “Korean Music Wave in Google”. The concert was advertised by YouTube and Google, which offered free admissions to attendees. Taeyeon and Tiffany, who are currently
hosts for MBC’s “Show! Music Core” with Seohyun, were MCs for this event as well.
Throughout the two-hour long concert, Girls’ Generation performed “The Boys”, “Mr. Taxi”, and “Gee”. Seohyun had a solo performance where she sang “Flying Duck”, an alternative pop-rock song by Korean group Cherry Filter. The entire concert was streamed through YouTube and can be watched down below.
Girls’ Generation’s performances begin with “The Boys” at 2:09:50, “Mr. Taxi” at 2:16:00, and “Gee” at 2:20:00. Seohyun’s solo performance of “Flying Duck” begins at 1:39:30, and includes a short pre-recorded introduction by her.

MBC’s “Korean Music Wave in Google” took place after “SMTown LA” where SM Entertainment artists such as Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, Super Junior, and f(x) had performed the day before. Yuri and Yoona were unable to attend for both concerts due to having filming schedules for their dramas “Fashion King” and “Love Rain” respectively.
